dear mr & mrs bloggie…
After all the pain and suffering, ehem, I finally got my much needed massage and boy can I have a replay. And to add to the icing on my cake, everything’s freakin cheap I was in disbelieve!
A rich woman I am not but truth be told, I can get used to being a tai-tai if I ever were to stay there. Right….. -_-
Allow me to give you a better introduction to my entry lah ye…
Last Thursday had me reaching home at 7am from my trip to Cairo. Exhaustion could not begin to describe how I felt that very minute. By no stretch on the imagination could I be fit to walk properly. If permitted, I wanted to die there and then. What do you expect, I was “walking” for 10++hours mind you.
But I was not given a chance to sleep for I needed to pack my bag and get out of my place at 830am. So please do feel my pain.
>>>fast forward
A few hours later, we landed in Batam. My parents and I headed to the hotel where we were greeted by my brother and sis-in-law who were already there a day ahead of us. By all means, excitement soon took over.
Albeit excited to get the ball rolling, it didn’t stop me from having a short nap in the hotel room. My family on the other hand went ahead with their massage in the nearby parlor. Yes, everything was as planned.
Hours later, I was awakened by a voice a lil too familiar for even my own liking. Aha! Who else could better greet me with such an annoying voice…other than Juls.
Devil had it, it was indeed Juls. Tehee….
He didn’t get to join us in the morning for he had his exams but clever boy got to Batam all alone- and in one piece.
With much persistence from my growling stomach, we soon went out to get our lunch, Padang style.
Oh, it was heavenly I tell you. Super duper delicious and finger licking good. Yummy.
We did a lil shopping soon after and then off Juls and I went for our massage.
Feeling much better and rejuvenated, two hours later we joined my family for dinner. This time it was seafood. The chili crab was the highlight of my night, what being fresh and such. Oh, I could still taste it as I’m typing these words. *whimpers*
Back to the hotel we went for the cake-cutting ceremony. It was my sis-in-law birthday you see and we had ourselves a mini-celebration. We watched American Idol on Channel 5 and thence we called it a night.
The next day we had breakfast buffet in the hotel and it was saddening that I didn’t eat a lot coz I had food poisoning so every substance that went pass my esophagus would within minutes went out my a**. That really took the biscuit!
We checked out and father led us to his friend’s place to pay him a visit. The hostess, his wife, was very friendly and generous and she cooked super duper sedap Ayam Penyet. Despite my earlier illness, I gotta admit, even this was not one to put away.
An hour later had us shopping again and Juls and I got ourselves the cream bath for our limp hair.
Heaven…oh heaven….
Right after, we ate again. This time I got to eat my Mee Bakso! I am a typical Minah Jawa, what to you expect. I love my Indonesian food hokay. I was one contented fat woman, that’s all I can say. Kheh.
Sadly at the end of the day, we had to return to Singapore. Urgh!
And just so you know, I only got myself shades while the rest had their fun with their bags of new things. Shoes lah, clothes lah…everything REAL of course.
I was a tad disappointed but hey, at least my agenda was met. Massage was the priority evidently. Who wants fake goods anyway? *points finger to culprits who do*
I must say regardless of the time constraint, we all had a whale of a time.
And all of us live happily ever after again.
The end.

Brother had made it a point to call Juls “Siska”.
His new bitch.
My profound love.

Despite all that, he’s still my significant other.
Idiot, at that.
Sayang still.
Hurhur…
